City Noise Mapping

Noise mapping lets you see where noise comes from, how it spreads, and how the community is exposed — essential for urban planning, impact reduction and environmental compliance.

Scope

  • Field survey: noise levels, traffic data, topography and building data
  • Modelling with international-standard software such as SoundPLAN
  • Day/Eve/Night noise maps and population-exposure analysis
  • Compliance assessment against environmental noise law
  • Mitigation design (barriers, zoning, building orientation, road surfaces)
  • Support for communication with authorities and the community

Standards & method

We reference ISO 1996-1/-2 for environmental noise, ISO 9613-2 for attenuation, the NMPB method for traffic noise, and the EU Environmental Noise Directive (END).

Deliverables

  • Full-colour Day/Eve/Night noise maps showing Ld, Le, Ln
  • TH/EN report with population-exposure analysis
  • Mitigation recommendations with cost and outcome estimates
  • Model files and GIS data for urban planning
