Continuous noise monitoring, without buying the instruments
Continuous noise monitoring used to mean a capital purchase, a technician who knows how to operate it, and somebody in the office to turn the data into something a regulator will accept. Most organisations need the result, not the equipment.
We install the monitoring stations, calibrate them, keep them running, and deliver the data as a live dashboard, an alert when a threshold is approached, and a compliance report at the end of the period. You pay a monthly or project fee. The instruments remain ours to maintain and replace.

How it works
- Scoping — we determine what has to be measured, where, against which limit, and at what interval. Getting this wrong makes every subsequent measurement useless, and it is the step most often skipped.
- Installation — stations positioned to the relevant standard, secured, powered and connected. Solar and cellular where there is no infrastructure.
- Commissioning — calibration verified on site, alert thresholds set against your actual obligation, dashboard access issued.
- Operation — data flows continuously. We watch the system, not just the data: dropouts, power failures, drift and vandalism are our problem to detect and fix.
- Alerting — when a level approaches a threshold, the people you nominate are told, with enough time to act.
- Reporting — periodic compliance reports, signed off by a named acoustic engineer.
- Demobilisation — at the end of the period we remove the equipment and you keep the complete data record.
Renting the result instead of owning the equipment
Buying a monitoring system means the capital cost, a calibration cycle you have to manage, a spares and repair path, software licences, somebody trained to operate it, and an instrument that is idle between projects. It also means that when the system fails at two in the morning, it is your problem. On a service basis the instrument is our asset: calibration, maintenance, failure, replacement, obsolescence and the cost of holding spares all sit with us. You have a monthly cost that goes into project overhead or opex rather than a capital request, and you can scale the number of positions up and down as the work demands. Owning makes sense when you monitor continuously, in many locations, year after year, and you have staff to run it — we are happy to sell you that system instead, and to say so if that is the better answer for you.
Alerts that arrive before the complaint
A monitoring system that reports what happened last month is an archive, not a control. Its value is in the report, and the report is written after the damage is done. Setting the alert threshold below the limit changes what monitoring is for: the site manager gets a message while the level is rising, with time to move the plant, close a door, change the sequence of work or stop the activity. The breach does not occur, the complaint is not made, and the enforcement visit does not happen. Thresholds are set against your actual obligation, and we set them with you — too sensitive and the alerts get ignored within a week, too loose and they arrive too late to be useful.
Your data, and who can see it
The data is yours. You can export it at any time, and you keep the full record when the deployment ends. Where a system captures audio for event identification, that is configured deliberately and with your instruction, because audio recording in occupied environments carries personal data obligations under Thai law that logged sound levels do not. Most deployments do not need audio at all; where event identification matters, there are configurations that classify events without retaining intelligible speech. We will raise this at scoping rather than leave you to discover it later.

FAQ
How much does noise monitoring as a service cost?
It depends on the number of positions, the deployment length, whether power and connectivity exist on site, and the reporting frequency. Pricing is a fixed monthly fee per position plus a one-off mobilisation, quoted after scoping. There is no capital cost and no calibration cost to you.
Do we have to buy anything?
No. The instruments, enclosures, power, connectivity and software are all provided as part of the service and removed at the end. If you would prefer to own the system, we can supply that instead.
Is the data acceptable to a regulator?
Yes, provided the measurement was designed against the right obligation in the first place. The stations are Class 1 to IEC 61672, calibration is verified and documented, weather is logged alongside, and reports are signed off by an acoustic engineer. The failure mode with monitoring data is almost never instrument quality — it is measuring the wrong index, at the wrong position, against the wrong limit.
What happens if a station fails or is damaged?
We monitor system health continuously and detect dropouts, power loss and drift, usually before you would notice. Repair and replacement are included in the service. Data continuity is our obligation, not yours.
Can we get alerts before we breach a limit?
That is the main reason to do this. Thresholds are set below your limit and alerts go to whoever you nominate, by email, SMS or LINE, while there is still time to act.
Can several people see the dashboard?
Yes. You decide who gets access — site management, HSE, head office, your client, or the contractor. Access can be added and removed at any time.
Does it work where there is no power or internet?
Yes. Solar power and cellular telemetry are standard options. Sites with no cellular coverage at all are handled with local logging and scheduled collection, which we will tell you about at scoping rather than after installation.
Can you monitor vibration at the same time?
Yes. Vibration monitoring is frequently deployed alongside noise on construction and demolition projects, on the same reporting and alerting system.
How quickly can monitoring start?
Mobilisation depends on the number of positions, site access and whether power and connectivity have to be provided. We give you a mobilisation date with the quotation, once we know the site.
What happens to the data when the project finishes?
You keep it. The complete record is exported to you in a usable format, and we retain a copy for the period you specify. The data is the deliverable, not the hardware.
