Basic Noise for industry (full-day course)
The half-day course teaches you to measure correctly. This one teaches you what to do with the number. We move from measurement and calibration to identifying which machine the noise is coming from, mapping it to see whether the problem reaches the fence line, understanding the acoustic properties of the materials a supplier will try to sell you, and the control techniques that survive contact with a production line.
- Format and duration
- Full day · 10:00–17:00 · At the Geonoise training room, or in-house at your plant
- Who it is for
- Plant engineers, safety officers, site environmental staff, and consultants who carry responsibility for noise on an industrial site.
What the course covers
- Fundamentals of noise and hearing
- Choosing measuring equipment that suits the work
- Measurement technique, instrument calibration, and interpreting the calibration result
- Thai law and standards for industrial and nuisance noise
- Sound source location
- Noise mapping
- Noise prediction modelling for industrial noise management
- Acoustic properties of materials
- Soundproofing techniques for industrial noise
Standards referenced
Referenced to Thai workplace noise law, the nuisance-noise notification, and outdoor propagation principles per ISO 9613-2.

FAQ
How is this different from the half-day course?
The half day ends at measuring correctly. The full day adds source location, noise mapping, modelling, materials and control — the part you need once the measurement comes back above the limit.
Is it right for a plant already facing a complaint?
Yes, and bring the team. What decides the outcome is a correct measurement and knowing where the noise originates before you spend on a fix. If the matter is already urgent, commissioning a survey from us will be faster than waiting for a course date.
We are not in Bangkok. Can you come to us?
Yes, we train nationwide. Running it at your plant has a real advantage: the afternoon can use your own machinery as the case study.
