Noise modelling with SoundPLAN for industry (1-day foundation course)

A noise model is what lets you answer what the level will be at the site boundary before the machinery is installed. This is a full-day workshop where you build one yourself: importing site data into the Geo-Database, placing sources, calculating as a grid noise map, a cross section and receiver points, and producing graphical output that can go straight into a report.

Format and duration
1 day · 09:00–17:00 · Hands-on workshop, limited places · Participants bring their own laptop
Who it is for
Industrial and environmental noise practitioners, noise consultancies, plant designers, environmental noise engineers, safety officers, and anyone running a noise impact study.

FAQ

Do I need a SoundPLAN licence first?
No — a training version is provided on the day. You do need to bring your own laptop, because you build the model yourself throughout.
Is it suitable if I have never used modelling software?
Yes. This is the foundation course. It starts from what a model is and how to prepare data, not from an assumption that you have used one before.
Is there anything more advanced?
Yes — a 3-day SoundPLAN basic training and a 2-day advanced course covering advanced data handling, directivity and advanced graphics.
